Deferment of Installments for Customers Affected by COVID-19
Meethaq Islamic Banking - Bank Muscat is pleased to offer support to customers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Affected customers have the option to defer Auto, Personal and Housing Finance installments till December 31, 2021. After the completion of the initial deferment period, the Bank may extend the deferment period subject to conditions prevailing at that time.
Important note: We have extended the period of the existing
finance instalment deferral till December 2021 for Omani nationals whose salary
is paused or reduced or additional income is impacted and for Omani pensioners.
The extension covers only those finances that are currently under instalment
deferment. Customer will be contacted through SMS to explain the mechanism.
